Had a pretty late start to the day. Didn't leave Cathy's place until she picked me up at lunch. Ate the burrito, which I nuked too long so the cheese lost all its cheesiness and became hardiness. It was a good burrito, but because I didn't get their mega, I seemed to have missed out. Cathy had to head out to East Bay and I would hang out in Berkeley while she met with a client of hers.
I spent most of my time looking for some nice wind glasses for her as a present. Hers were nice but she had mentioned something about the joy of drinking from really nice wine glasses. I went to Crate & Barrel and they didn't have what I liked boxed. I tried EQ3 and they suggested Crate & Barrell when I said I didn't want them individually packed. The closest one was in some other town far away. I didn't correct her that there was one across the street. I walked some more and found a Sur La Table! They had Schott Zwiesel Cru Classic glasses which were perfect. Since I was buying 6 and they were expensive, I asked the girl if I could get a discount. Never hurts to ask! She gave me to the manager who asked for my phone number. I did shop there before but I wasn't in their system. She said she wanted an excuse and wanted to be able to say I was a good customer. I told her I wasn't a good customer, and only bought stuff from them twice before. I can't lie. I offered Cathy's name but it didn't show up. She gave me a 10% discount so the total was closer to the online price for 6 glasses without tax because she liked that I was buying it as a gift for my friend.
I hit the Apple Store and listened to MDNA's Turn Up The Radio with Dre phones and every other kind of earphone they had. It was fun, and a great tune! I then went to a Chocolatier/Ice Cream place to get sons ice cream. I ended up buying chocolates after hearing someone order some. They looked incredible! Most of the flavoured I wanted were hearts. I must have a big heart! Hehehe. The ice cream scoops were Vanilla Bean and Pistaccio.
Cathy picked me up a little while later and we went over to pick up my trike! I didn't get a shot of the backyard or the guys at Cycle Monkey but everything they did was awesome! They said a lot of things were loose and they tightened them up. They fixed my disk brakes, centered the back wheel and fixed all the Rohloff problems! I was very happy. Rohloff was billed, and the rest of the labour was $90 after tip. The outside of the place was still unassuming! I took another shot.
Cathy and I did Nick's fish tacos and burrito. Whatever plans we considered, we cancelled and just stayed in. We had an early start in the morning so we watched some Myth Busters and turned in. I took a picture of a Discovery Show I want to find about the building of Rolls Royces. The attention to detail and options are unreal. It's the only car extravagance I would consider of I was wealthy enough to afford one, even though I am not a fan of expensive toys when it comes to cars. Slumber time, dreaming of his to make my millions.
